Saturday 10th May

Grubs is back and larger than ever.

So we hit up drum & bass boss Trei and asked if he could join us from Wellington for the evening of the 10th of May, days later he made it to #1 on the Beatport drum & bass chart.

Ink Courtyard (House zone)

At the stroke of 11pm Ink transforms from mid-tempo beats into the finest in upbeat drum & bass as George Fm’s Iwan warms up for legend Trei and kicks off what will arguably be the best 5 hours of drum & bass you have experienced.
Outside in the courtyard the chill zone has been implemented thanks again to the Lazy Soundsystem crew, keeping things relaxed and funky for the hardcore of the Ink family.

To make things more exciting, Trei – Seeds (Viper Recordings) hit #1 on the worldwide drum & bass Beatport charts on April 4th. What a legendary feat as a musician and as a Kiwi, big ups from us here at Collude.

The Lowdown on Trei…

Based in Wellington; TREI is undoubtedly one of New Zealand’s finest DJ/Producers. His deadly mixing ability, high energy sets and anthemic productions have seen him linked to some of the finest Drum and Bass record labels, club nights, DJ’s and producers on the planet.
With releases on the likes of Viper Recordings, Commercial Suicide, Shogun Ltd, Samurai Music, SOM Music, Uprising Recordings; and his music gaining regular support from such luminaries as Concord Dawn, Andy C, Klute, Friction, Futurebound, Crissy Criss, Metrik, Goldie and Black Sun Empire to name afew; his presence over the past few years has been impossible to ignore.
March 2013 saw the release of his much anticipated second album; “Satellites” (on State of Mind’s SOM Music imprint) to much acclaim. Packed with hard hitting beats, progressive rollers, and proven dancefloor smashers including the singles “Change your Mind” (with Thomas Oliver), Homecoming (with MC Tali) and “Running” (also with Thomas Oliver), as well as collaborations with The Upbeats & State of Mind. Continuing on from where 2009’s highly acclaimed debut “Innuendo” left off; “Satellites” has propelled TREi even further into the musical stratosphere.
And there’s no letting up; 2014 is well underway with forthcoming releases on Viper Recordings, Icarus Audio as well as remixes for Shapeshifter, Cause 4 Concern & Downlink all set to drop in the coming months.
